To all our valued guests and customers, as per the Welsh Government future announcements, hopefully we will be opening our doors again as soon as we are able. It will be wonderful news when we can eventually welcome you back for a breath of fresh air in the Welsh countryside hopefully this will be in the Summer.
It goes without saying that vigorous cleaning and sanitising procedures have been put in place to ensure the safety of you and our staff.
Just a few of the additional steps we are taking:
-Staff will only enter your rooms if you wish. Please feel free to put the do not disturb sign out if you don't want us to enter.
-Every surface including keys, remote controls, door knobs, light switches will be sanitised with alcohol, this is a small example, everything is being thoroughly cleaned.
-Staff are limited to ensure that the people we are in contact with is limited.
-Whilst we are only allowed to open outside only, we will be offering a continental breakfast served in your room.
We thank our guests for their continued support, and hope that you choose to visit us if not for the full experience, then for the chance to escape to the countryside. We will do our very best to navigate around this unusual situation we find ourselves in, and as always your happiness and safety are our priorities.

Our Inn is perfectly situated surrounded by many beautiful wedding venue's allowing great accessabilty to these venue's, such as Garthmyl Hall just over the hedge from us. We are able to arrange block bookings, early check in, late check outs. We are also happy to arrange additonal guests to join you for breakfast. When you stay with us your key enables you to come and go as you please so that you can arrange for hairdresses/make up artists to join you at your leisure. Heading north Brigands is around 3/4 of an hour, half way towards the coast.

The scenic Montgomeryshire canal starts at Newtown and ends at Welshpool. Many people park at Berriew and walk either to Welshpool or Newtown. Alongside the beautiful canal is a flat towpath and this allows you to either walk or cycle and take in the wildlife.
Why not take a scenic walk or bike ride around Lake Vyrnwy and maybe end with a bite to eat or a coffee in the nearby hotel and cafe. The lakes length is 7.64 km and the full walk around the lake is 12 miles.
Rodneys pillar is based near Welshpool and has Footpaths that lead up to the summit with wonderful views of Shropshire & Wales. Rodneys pillar has 2 different routes, one more challenging than the other. Starting point: SY21 7DD.
Powis castle is known for its beautiful well-kept grounds. The castle was originally built in the 1200’s. Powis castle is very popular for its beautiful grounds and coffee bar. The Castle is also a national trust property.
Montgomery Castle is a stone masonry castle looking over the County of Montgomery in Powys, Mid Wales. Many people park in Montgomery and walk to the castle. Be warned, it is very steep but is well worth the view. If you're feeling energetic you can carry on up towards to the monument above the castle.
Glansevern hall gardens offer over 25 Acres to explore the stunning grounds and exotic planting. There is so much to explore in the gardens.
Gregynog Hall is a historic house and with its grade 1 gardens, it is the perfect place for a relaxed day out. The beautiful grounds offer various levels of difficulty walks, with great places for a picnic.
Situated in the heart of Mid Wales between Welshpool and Newtown. The golf course offers 18 and 9 hole courses and also offers lessons for any difficulty. The golf course is less than 5 minutes away.

The Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway was built in 1903 to link farming communities with the market town of Welshpool and provide them with an outlet for their produce. Today it is a 16 mile return journey by narrow gauge steam train through beautiful Mid Wales countryside. A wonderful day for all the family.

We have installed an EV charging point in our car park for all our customers who have electric cars. You can charge your car whilst staying with us. This charging point is equipped with a Type 2 lead. This is the European standard and is the most common in use today.
We have ample off road parking available for our guests vehicles whether it be an eco friendly electric car or a two wheeled motorbike.
